After losing in the Dáil, Ruth Coppinger doubles down on pushing more abortion


Well that didn’t take long! After her defeat in the Dáil on abortion just before Christmas, Ruth Coppinger is back again - this time demanding the removal of the three-day waiting period before an abortion.


She calls it “patronising” and “dangerous,” but many women beg to differ, saying it gave them the time and space they desperately needed before making a life-changing decision.

When Sierra found out she was pregnant, she was afraid and felt overwhelmed. In a moment of fear, she took the abortion pill. Almost immediately, she knew it wasn’t what she truly wanted. She loved her baby - and she didn’t want to lose her.


With help, Sierra learned something many women are never told: after taking the first abortion pill, there can still be time to act. Through Abortion Pill Reversal (APR), she received progesterone to counteract the effects of the first drug. And Sawyer survived.
