This anti-voting bill only adds more barriers to the ballot box and makes it
hard for people in Ohio to vote.

Hello,
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed Senate Bill 293 into law — dangerous
legislation that eliminates Ohio’s four-day grace period for voters to return
their absentee ballots.
That means mail-in absentee ballots won’t be counted at all if they don’t
arrive on Election Day, so election officials can reject ballots that voters
mailed on time simply because of postal delays.
This anti-voting bill only adds more barriers to the ballot box and makes it
hard for people in Ohio to vote. In 2024, nearly10,000 ballots would have been
thrown out if this bill had been in effect.
Mail-in voting plays an essential role in allowing vulnerable communities to
vote, including seniors, voters with disabilities, caregivers, rural residents,
students, and people without reliable transportation who depend on it.
We need your help to fight back. Can you donate any amount — $5, $10, or more
— to push back against restrictive voter laws like SB 293 and elect
pro-democracy leaders up and down the ballot?

Thanks for helping us safeguard our democracy.
— Voting Rights Fund
Voting Rights Fund wasn’t created just to defend voting rights — we elect the
leaders who will expand and protect them. Our aim is to keep our operational
costs as low as possible, so a majority of our funds go toward doing the work
that needs to be done. That means building a national bench of lawmakers who
will fight tooth and nail to expand access to the ballot box and protect our
right to vote at every level of government.
