DHS Secretary Noem has repeatedly violated the Constitution and enabled Trump’s abuses of power.
John,
BREAKING NEWS: Congresswoman Robin Kelly of Illinois has introduced three articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. The articles state that Noem has denied congressional oversight of ICE detention facilities; violated public trust by making unwarranted arrests, attacking U.S. citizens, and ignoring due process; and abused her power for personal benefit.
Since becoming Secretary of Homeland Security, Noem has both committed impeachable offenses and enabled Trump’s abuses of power by:
Inciting violence, including the murder of Renee Nicole Good, and then covering up that execution by an ICE agent
Illegally and unconstitutionally kidnapping, detaining, and removing U.S. residents, migrants, and asylum-seekers to foreign prisons
Illegally and unconstitutionally kidnapping, detaining, and removing U.S. residents without due process of law
Unconstitutionally and systemically violating the rights to free speech and assembly under the First Amendment
Defying court orders, threatening judges, and unconstitutionally usurping judicial authority
In supporting Trump’s constitutional violations and actively participating in, or even initiating, these high crimes, Noem has committed multiple impeachable offenses.
We applaud Representative Kelly for introducing these articles of impeachment, and we urge her to force a House floor vote on these articles. Congress must now hold Kristi Noem accountable for her abuses of power through the impeachment process.
