John,
Trump’s threat to invoke the Insurrection Act on protestors is lawless,
reckless, and dangerous. He is openly signaling that he will turn the
military on civilians to silence dissent and protect his power. This is
not leadership. This is authoritarianism.
Project 2025 laid the groundwork. Trump’s response has been consistent
ever since: label resistance an insurrection and justify force in
response.
Minnesota is the test case. He targeted it because voters there rejected
him three times, because Minneapolis is a peaceful, multiracial city that
shatters his lies, and because he hates Governor Walz. He is petty. He
wants photo ops to cosplay strength while his physical decline unfolds in
front of our eyes.
If he gets away with this in Minnesota, he will try it everywhere.
People are angry. We should be. We stand with Minnesota because solidarity
is survival. We refuse to cooperate with lawlessness. We withdraw our
labor, our money, and our consent.
