TELL CONGRESS: Trump’s ICE and Border Patrol agents invaded Minnesota, shot and killed Renee Good, and continue to terrorize Minneapolis. Trump is sending another 1,000 agents to the Twin Cities, while DHS Sec. Noem spreads propaganda and shields ICE from accountability. After an ICE agent shot and killed Renee Good, an innocent bystander observing an ICE protest in her car, Trump and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem spread atrocious propaganda about Good to shield ICE from accountability.

Noem called Good’s actions "domestic terrorism," and said she "weaponized her vehicle to conduct an act of violence against the law enforcement officer and the public."1 These statements have absolutely no basis in fact. Yesterday, ICE shot another person in Minneapolis after agents stopped a man’s car and tried to detain him.2

Now, Trump and Noem are sending another 1,000 ICE and Border Patrol agents to Minneapolis to ramp up its invasion of yet another American city.3 Trump’s federal agents are dragging people from their cars, kidnapping people from their jobs, and killing people in the street. Congress must put an immediate end to Trump’s armed ICE invasions.

Rep. Ilhan Omar warned that the Trump administration is trying to instigate unrest in Minnesota in order to execute an armed takeover. She said the White House wants to “agitate people enough where they are able to invoke the Insurrection Act to declare martial law.”4

Senator Bernie Sanders issued similar warnings, calling ICE “Trump’s domestic army.” He called Trump’s escalations in Minneapolis an “authoritarian power grab — an open attempt to suppress dissent and heighten conflict.”5

Minneapolis is the latest frontline in Trump’s armed authoritarian takeover. The White House has now invaded and terrorized Los Angeles, Washington D.C., New Orleans, Charlotte, Chicago, and other cities. Congress must take urgent action to stop ICE terror, end the federal invasions, and protect our civil liberties.
