One year ago, the historic LA wildfires tore through Altadena, Malibu, and the Palisades - destroying homes and displacing families in their path. Sadly, many are still reeling from the lasting impact of the disaster.
In just 31 days, 31 lives were tragically lost. Over 16,000 structures were destroyed, and 71 square miles were left in ruins - almost the entire size of San Francisco. And so far, only 10 homes have been rebuilt.
Thousands of families are still displaced. For them, "normal" is still a distant memory.
The toll of such immense loss, instability, and trauma demands a rigorous mental health response. That's exactly what Project HOPE teams are doing on the ground right now. And with your support, we can continue helping families recover in Los Angeles and extend lifesaving care to other communities around the world where the need is just as urgent.
