We’re tied

Hi friends,

I’m reaching out personally because yesterday, we got some big news here in Michigan:

A new poll just dropped, and it shows that our race for U.S. Senate is officially tied.

That’s right. According to The Detroit News, I’m in a statistical dead heat with MAGA Republican Mike Rogers.

My reaction to the poll? I’m more motivated than ever.

These numbers tell me we’re doing something right. But they also tell me we have work to do. Which is perfect, because your gal loves good old-fashioned hard work.

I’ve never expected anything to come easy. That’s not how I was raised.

My parents ran a small landscaping business and worked their tails off every day. In the winter, my dad would wake up way early to plow snow just to help make ends meet. That’s where my Stevens doggedness comes from — and it’s exactly what I’m bringing to this campaign.

I’m ready to fight every single day to earn the votes of Michiganders across this state.

But here’s what we’re up against:

Donald Trump was in Detroit this week because he knows Michigan could decide control of the Senate. And his handpicked candidate, Mike Rogers — the same guy who said Trump should send the military into Michigan — is now backed by a far-right Texas oil billionaire who’s already poured millions into this race.

Let’s be clear: Rogers and his MAGA allies are going all in on Michigan. They’re planning to spend massive amounts to try to buy this Senate seat.

We can’t let them.

And this poll? It proves something we’ve believed all along:

“It’s very clear, looking at these numbers, that at the start of the year, Haley Stevens comes in as the strongest of the three positioned candidates.” – Pollster Richard Czuba of the Glengariff Group, via The Detroit News

It also confirms I’m the only Democrat polling neck-and-neck with Rogers because I’m the only one resonating with independent voters. And in a battleground state like Michigan, that matters. A lot.

Michigan is one of just four seats experts say is most likely to flip this cycle – and The New York Times just named us a key race to watch. That means the spotlight is getting brighter. The stakes are higher. And I’m more ready than ever.

So yes, the poll shows we’re tied. But I don’t plan on staying tied.

I plan on winning.
