Earlier this month, Democrat Iris Sánchez won the special election in the 25th House District in New Britain , delivering the first win of the New Year and keeping the seat in Democratic hands. Her victory was powered by early organizing and supporters like you who showed up when it mattered most.

And earlier this week, Connecticut residents elected Larry Pemberton to the 139th House District, covering Ledyard, Montville, and Norwich. A member of the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation, Rep-elect Pemberton will be the first Native American to serve in the Connecticut General Assembly. His decisive victory reflects the values of the communities he will represent.

We are not slowing down. In just a few weeks, Fairfield voters will head to the polls for a special election on February 3rd to choose their First Selectperson. Democrat Christine Vitale is running to continue the work she has already begun for the town, and this race will be decided by turnout and local organizing.
