Find Your Districts

Congressional Districts have significantly changed with the passing of Prop 50. Ensure you are clear on your new district assignment by entering your address HERE. (Note: Many prior tools refer to the old district maps and are no longer valid. Please use above site for the latest information.)

California Assembly and Senate districts did NOT change with Prop 50. To locate your current representatives please go HERE. We will also be highlighting the democratic candidates running for local state seats as well.

Get to Know Your Candidates

This month, our goal is to ensure all Democratic voters are clear on their new congressional district and are aware of the democratic candidates running in their area. As previously highlighted, El Dorado County representation has increased from two congressional districts (CD3 & CD5) to three (CD3, CD5 & CD7).

Below we are highlighting the current democratic candidates in each district and where to get more information on their platforms. Following newsletters will continue to report upcoming candidate forums and opportunities to meet and hear from your candidates.

EDC Dems In Action

ICE Out for Good

The El Dorado Community quickly rallied after the Renee Good murder last week. A joint protest and vigil were quickly organized with ~350 community members attending.

Placerville was featured on ABC channel 10 news! "Hundreds gather in Placerville to protest ICE and Trump administration policies."

Tell your Senators: Rein in ICE NOW. The coalition behind ICE Out for Good is following last weekend's historic weekend of action by flooding Congress with calls demanding that they use the upcoming Homeland Security funding bill to rein in ICE.

Free America Walkout:

Tuesday, January 20 at 2pm (local)

Sponsored by Woman's March

On January 20 at 2 pm local time, we’re walking out of work, school, everywhere — because a Free America begins the second we refuse to fuel fascism with our labor, our time, or our dollars.

Let’s be crystal clear: this is a reminder and a warning. We know our power. And we’re ready to use it. We can shut this SH*T down.

When women and feminists pull our labor, our money, and our consent, the country doesn’t just wobble. It stops. We expose the truth: nothing in America moves without us. That’s our leverage. That’s our fire. On January 20, we’re turning that power all the way on — together.

We’re walking out to jam the gears of fascism, to protect one another, and to step forward into the future we all deserve. Free America isn’t a tagline. It’s a commitment. And this is how we start.

Volunteers Needed:

EDC Point-In-Time Count

We need your help!

The El Dorado Opportunity Knocks Continuum of Care (CoC), in partnership with El Dorado County Health and Human Services, is planning the 2026 Point-in-Time (PIT) Count. They're looking for volunteers to assist with the 2026 PIT Count on the morning of January 29th.

The PIT Count is a Federally required, nation-wide count of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness. This essential effort helps us better understand the needs of people experiencing homelessness and ensures our community receives appropriate resources and funding.

Your participation would make a meaningful impact. We depend on teams of volunteers to canvas our community and ensure that all our neighbors experiencing homelessness are counted. No prior experience is necessary—training will be provided, and volunteers will work in pairs or small groups.

You can sign up or learn more at https://eldorado.pointintime.info.

Thank you in advance for considering this, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions to [email protected]. Feel free to share this invitation with friends, family, or colleagues you think would be interested in volunteering.
