The ACLU is lifting up stories of courage, protest, and community.

ACLU Supporter, just days ago, countless people across the country rose up and took to the streets in nearly 1,200 protests nationwide to condemn ICE's killing of Renee Good and demand ICE get out of our communities.

Every horror perpetrated by this administration has been met by a groundswell of resistance – regular people coming together to protect our neighbors, our loved ones, and our freedoms.

As we reach the one-year anniversary of President Trump's second inauguration, we at the ACLU are lifting up stories of courage, protest, and community that we've seen over the past year. We're calling these our Portraits of Protest – and we want to hear from you about the people in your life who've made a difference.

What examples of protest and resilience have you seen in your community? Share your own Portrait of Protest today. <[link removed]>

While the attacks on our most fundamental rights have been relentless, the response from people nationwide has been inspiring. And that is something we wanted you to carry with you.

We've found hope and courage in each other every day – in the neighbors who show up at school board meetings to make a difference locally, in the lawyers who go to court to battle the threats to our Constitution, in the protesters who promise to protect each other and our communities, in the organizers making sure we all know our rights.

The ACLU is sharing our Portraits of Protest to feature people whose courage over the past year has inspired us – who in your life is giving you hope? <[link removed]>
