The 2026 legislative session kicked off today. For the next 119 days, our House and Senate Republicans will be fighting in Denver for our rights.

House Minority Leader Jarvis Caldwell said it eloquently, “As we begin this session during Colorado’s 150th anniversary, we are reminded that this state was built by people who believed in opportunity and accountability. Right now, families are asking how they can afford a home, fill their grocery cart, and give their children the same opportunities they once had. House Republicans are focused on slowing the growth of government and putting people first.”

On the South end of the Capitol, Senate Minority Leader Cleave Simpson shared a similar message, “While history grounds us, it does not confine us. Colorado’s story has always been one of new horizons, and today, new changes are coming with a new direction.”

Our House and Senate Republicans need our help - from testifying on bills, to letting your legislators know your thoughts, they rely heavily on grassroots support. Each of the caucuses send newsletter and email updates. Please sign up for the House and Senate’s emails so you don’t miss any important updates from under the gold dome.

The growing progressive-wing of the Democrat party will certainly be pushing even more extreme legislation, our Republicans are the only thing stoping them!
