Friend, in a few minutes I’m going to be on All In with Chris Hayes on MSNOW.
My message will be simple: No one is above the law, not the White House or their ICE bullies.
I told you earlier today that I’m introducing a bill to strip ICE of qualified immunity, which shields them from facing justice in civil court.
Because the truth is that ICE has devolved to complete lawlessness. I’ve never seen anything like it. A sitting president sending untrained, unvetted federal troops into the streets of cities that oppose him and cracking down on anyone they can find, even shooting a woman dead in cold blood and facing no accountability.
We are not getting close to authoritarianism, it’s here. Right now. We have to fight back and organize to defeat the MAGA far-right that is so cruelly wielding power in Washington today.
