I just signed onto the articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

I did it because what we are seeing from ICE is deadly, and the people in charge are still refusing to take responsibility.

TAKE A STAND AGAINST KRISTI NOEM

Earlier this month, Renee Good, a U.S. citizen and mother, was shot and killed during an ICE operation in Minneapolis. Instead of making sure the public gets real answers, Secretary Noem defended the operation, lied about what happened, and sent even more agents into the area.

That is not what accountability looks like.

This isn’t just about one bad decision either. It’s about leadership that seems to pride themselves in choosing force over care, secrecy over transparency, and fear over basic respect for people’s lives.

As members of Congress, we have tried to get information and oversight — and we’ve been blocked. Communities are asking for answers — and they’re not getting them. Families are living with fear — and the response from the top has been more of the same.

That’s why I signed on to the impeachment articles against Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

Impeachment is serious. It should be. But so is what’s happening right now under Secretary Noem’s watch. When federal power is used in ways that puts lives at risk and shuts down oversight, Congress has a duty to act.
