John,
$85,000 raised. In three weeks. Over the holidays.
As a first-time candidate, I'm blown away by this early support. It's proof that District C is ready for bold, fearless leadership.
We've officially filed with the City of Houston to be on the April 4 ballot and this campaign is off to a fast start. With fewer than three months until Election Day, we have a real opportunity to win. Our message is connecting: Protect District C from state overreach, invest in public safety and infrastructure solutions, and bring courageous leadership to City Hall.
Here’s why I’m different: I grew up here and have a diverse set of experiences. I went to Poe Elementary, Lanier Middle, and Lamar High School. After January 6th, I joined the U.S. Army and served in Poland as a tank platoon leader on the Russian border. Today, I lead teams making artificial intelligence safer. Now I'm stepping up to serve the community that raised me.
The momentum is real, but we can't let up. Chip in $25, $50, $100, or whatever you can to help us. ([link removed])

Patrick Oathout
Candidate for Houston City Council, District C
Patrick Oathout is a member of the U.S. Army Reserve (IRR). Use of his military rank, job titles, and photographs in uniform does not imply endorsement by the Department of the Army or the Department of Defense.
Pol. adv. Patrick Oathout Campaign
Patrick was born in District C and raised in its public schools. After he lost a job in high school for being gay, he vowed to spend his life fighting bullies who discriminate. He joined the Army after January 6th, served on the NATO front lines in Poland, and now leads teams making AI safer and more aligned. Twelve years ago, Patrick built a mobile app for the City of Houston. Now he's running to represent his home community, build its future, and stand up to the bullies attacking Houston.
