Team, last year, I signed the strongest Shield Law in the country to make one thing absolutely clear: here in Massachusetts, we will always protect access to reproductive health care.

Our Shield Law:

🛡️ Ensures doctors, nurses, and patients in our state can’t be punished or intimidated for providing or seeking care.

🛡️ Protects providers from out-of-state lawsuits and protects patients’ privacy.

🛡️ Sends a message that Massachusetts will always defend the rights of its residents.

Across the country, we’re seeing coordinated efforts to criminalize abortion, harass providers, and scare patients out of getting the reproductive care they need. When Washington won’t act, we do. When rights are under attack, we defend them. And when the far right tries to drag us backward, we push forward.

But this work to defend the people of Massachusetts isn’t a given. And our progress is being threatened this year.
