Hi John — right now, in Florida, lawmakers are trying to roll back one of the most important gun safety protections passed after Parkland.
HB 133 would undo the law that raised the minimum age to purchase firearms from 18 to 21 — a bipartisan safeguard passed in the wake of unimaginable loss. It exists because the shooter who killed 17 students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School could legally buy a military-style weapon before he could legally buy a handgun.
That hard-fought progress is now under direct threat.
That’s why March For Our Lives is launching a billboard campaign in Florida – putting pressure on lawmakers, media, and voters cannot ignore it. These billboards will make one thing clear: rolling back this law is dangerous, unpopular, and a betrayal of Parkland survivors.

We’ve seen what happens when lawmakers choose the gun lobby over young people. We refuse to let Florida take another step backwards.
Thank you for being in the fight with us — and with the students whose lives are on the line.
Keep an eye out for our billboards at the Florida Capitol and on Florida State University’s campus!
