Donald Trump was in Detroit today.

It’s Haley Stevens, and I want to be clear: Trump was not in Michigan for the auto industry. He was here because he knows Michigan could decide Senate control – and he’s desperate to hang on to power.

Trump may claim he supports Michiganders, but here’s the truth: He imposed reckless tariffs that hurt Michigan auto workers. And last year, he said he “couldn’t care less” if auto prices go up.
