Dear members,

Thank you to everyone who participated in the recent January elections and nomination processes. Below is a consolidated announcement confirming the finalized 2026 election results and appointments, based on our OpaVote results and subsequent confirmations.

GPPA Officers

• Co-Chair: Colleen Schmotzer
• Treasurer: J.J. Kondrich

Steering Committee (At-Large)

• Elizabeth Schongar
• Tony Dastra
• Wendy Keslick

Unorganized County Delegates

• Armstrong County: Gabe Lytle
• Beaver County: Lorianne Burgess
• Butler County: Michael Bagdes-Canning
• Chester County: Wendy Keslick
(also elected to Steering Committee; Steering seat recorded as accepted — no delegate seated)
• Dauphin County: Tim Butler
• Lehigh County: Adam Hansen
• McKean County: Barbara Laxon
(seated due to no longer serving on Steering Committee)
• York County: Chase Lee McKnight

Confirmations of intent to hold seats won are being confirmed.

GPUS Delegates

• Full GPUS Delegate: Lorianne Burgess
• Alternate GPUS Delegates: Aiden Williamson; Kelly Kuzemchak (by preference)

A neutral randomized tiebreak was used for the Full versus Alternate designation between Lorianne Burgess and Aiden Williamson following a true IEC impasse.

Looking ahead, beginning with the 2027 elections, the IEC will review and refine the GPUS delegate selection process to reduce ambiguity and minimize the likelihood of tiebreak procedures, while remaining fair, transparent, and consistent with GPPA bylaws.

GPUS Committee Seatings (via OpaVote)

International Committee
• Jay Ting Walker

Banking & Monetary Reform Committee (BMRC)
• Elizabeth Schongar

Outreach Committee (OC)
• Theron Gilliland, Jr.

Diversity Committee
• Elizabeth Schongar

Platform Committee (PlatCom)
• Elizabeth Schongar
• Theron Gilliland, Jr.

Additional Notes

• GPPA was entitled to seat up to three members per GPUS committee.
• Platform Committee was the only committee with multiple candidates running.
• Some committees remain under-seated due to insufficient nominees, not vote totals.

Thank you again to everyone who stepped up, ran, voted, and helped administer this process. Your time, care, and commitment are deeply appreciated.

In solidarity,
Bryarr Misner
Secretary
