There is a very good chance you didn't open this email thinking, “After I read this, I am going to contribute to the Democratic National Committee."

Fair enough.

But we hope you will make that donation — especially if you want to help flip Congress this year.

Here’s why:

Midterm elections are rapidly approaching, and while donations in a few weeks or a few months are important, a contribution today can stretch much further than the same contribution further down the road.

A donation today helps us at the DNC make necessary early investments in the states we need to win this year.

A donation today helps us recruit and train highly skilled staff who will be a key to developing winning strategies throughout the year and into the future.

And a donation today helps us expand our organizing program early to have critical conversations with voters as soon as possible and ensure that folks are registered and ready to vote for Democrats up and down the ballot this year.

As the organization best positioned to distribute resources to the states, races, and campaigns that need them most, when they need them most, we know that an early donation makes a much bigger impact than a donation further down the line.
