They’ve gotten away with it for too long.
For years, Big Tech platforms have looked the other way - or worse - enabled the trafficking of children across their websites and apps. These aren’t just dark corners of the internet. These are billion-dollar platforms openly pimping out kids under the disguise of “virtual escorts” and “user services.”
That ends now.
I’ve just introduced SB1077, a bill that puts Big Tech on notice:
If you profit from trafficking kids in Arizona, there will be consequences.
This bill will:
-Criminalize platforms that knowingly facilitate child sex trafficking, pandering, or prostitution.
-Hit offenders with Class 5 felony charges for trafficking teens—up to 2.5 years in prison.
-Raise penalties for victims under 15—up to 27 years behind bars.
-Add new charges for platforms that expose minors to explicit material without verifying age.
