John, an active duty deployment on foreign soil in wartime is dangerous.
In Iraq and Afghanistan, we were constantly at risk. Even on base, we’d catch mortars. It’s part of the job, and you learn to live with that risk.
So, when we saw this video of Border Patrol head honcho Greg Bovino needing a tactical escort to use the potty in suburban Minneapolis, we really sympathized.
Alright, no more jokes. Let’s be completely real: These people are cowards.
They walk the streets armed and armored better than a lot of us were, in actual combat zones, and they hide behind masks.
We saw billions cut from the VA, thousands of jobs eliminated, and literally hundreds of billions in cuts from Medicaid last year. They cut our healthcare so guys like Greg Bovino — who never served in the military — can walk the street and play soldier.
The only way — truly — that we get out of this mess is by electing Democrats. We need to retake majorities in Congress this November, and it can’t possibly happen soon enough.
And until then, you can count on VoteVets to fight like hell to defeat MAGA up and down the ballot and bring some much-needed accountability to the rampant abuse Trump is inflicting on our country.
