It has been one year since the devastating wildfires in Southern California -- and recovery is far from complete. Most of our neighbors have yet to return home, while businesses, roads, and other infrastructure desperately need repair.

I joined KTLA5 to discuss my work in Congress to meet this moment: [link removed]

I was proud to lead the California delegation in calling on President Trump to release the federal disaster relief we need to recover. This is above petty partisan politics, and I’m pushing hard for the relief our communities deserve.

I’m also introducing new legislation in Congress -- the Healthy Lungs for Heroes Act -- to create respiratory protection standards for the wildland firefighters who put everything on the line to protect us.
