Friends, it is election year, the map is final, and the stakes are officially higher. Here are three things you NEED to know before November:
First, our race is officially finalized. We know exactly where we stand and who we are up against, which means we are shifting our priorities from organizing to winning — meaning every dollar donated is even more powerful.
Second, this was the closest race in Texas last year. That means that grassroots donations and a few thousand votes are going to decide this seat next year.
Third, the Supreme Court greenlit the Republicans' new gerrymandered map that hands the GOP five extra seats. That was a wake-up call. They are stacking the deck and counting on us to fold — but we won’t give up.
This is not the time to step back. Winning here means protecting affordable healthcare, expanding opportunities for our kids, and bringing good-paying jobs to South Texas.
