I wanted to share something that means a lot to me – and something that says a lot about this race.

I'm proud to be the only labor endorsed candidate in this race and one of the most labor endorsed congressional candidates in the country.

From the Colorado Professional Fire Fighters and Plumbers Local 3, to the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 642 and SMART Sheetmetal Workers, unions across the district are standing with my campaign because of the values I’ve carried with me my entire life.

I was raised by a single mom and a grandmother who worked as a blackjack dealer. Her tips helped put me through college. I saw up close what it meant to work hard, live paycheck to paycheck, and keep showing up anyway.

That’s why I’ve spent my time in public service fighting for working people.

Gabe Evans, on the other hand? He’s backed by corporate special interests and extremist donors. He voted to gut Medicaid and give tax breaks to billionaires. He doesn’t stand with workers, he stands with the powerful.

This race will come down to who voters trust to fight for them. I’m proud to stand with labor, and I’m proud they’re backing my campaign.
