Hey Patriot, Josh Williams here – a Black MAGA Christian who was saved by the grace of God.
This week in the Ohio Statehouse, I introduced the Tithing Protection Act to make sure churchgoers’ gifts to God are never taxed by the government.
For me, this isn’t just a policy issue – it’s personal.
My father was a pastor before he passed away. I saw firsthand how the church wasn’t just a place of worship – it was the heartbeat of our community. It was where families came together, where neighbors helped neighbors, and where faith turned fear into hope.
Later in life, after a work accident left me wondering if I’d ever recover, it wasn’t government bureaucracy that gave me strength – it was God.
My faith carried me through some of the darkest moments of my life and gave me the courage to stand up and fight for others.
That’s why I will always protect the right of every American to give freely to their church without fear of the government using their generosity to pad its bottom line.
And if I’m elected to Congress, I will bring that same conviction to Washington. I will fight to defend religious freedom, strengthen our families, and ensure the federal government keeps its hands off the donations that sustain our churches and ministries.
But here’s the truth: Washington won’t change on its own. If we want leaders who will fight for our values, we have to send them there ourselves.
Faith carried me through my hardest battles. With your help, we can carry that same faith straight into the halls of Congress – and change this country for the better.
