Here’s the deal: when our legislative session begins, I’ll be legally
barred from fundraising for months.

Our Republican opponents don’t have that restriction. They’ll be out there
raising money like it’s their full-time job, lining up dark-money groups
and preparing to pour millions into Maryland to try to flip this seat.

Now, I don’t love asking for money. You’ve probably figured that out by
now. But what we raise in the last days before the fundraising freeze will
determine if we can keep our campaign competitive.

I made a promise to never be beholden to special interests, and I’m able
