Donald Trump has been pressuring the Department of Justice for months, but yesterday it finally happened.

Let's call this what it is: a blatant power-grab. It's a bogus investigation meant to intimidate Fed Chair Powell into doing whatever Trump wants.

It's not new, either. The same happened to New York Attorney General Letitia James and former FBI director James Comey. Remember when Trump accidentally texted the head of the DOJ, Pam Bondi, to investigate them?

What he's doing is weaponizing the DOJ and using it as his personal attack dog to settle scores with political rivals. But we can't stand by and let him ruin another tool of democracy.
