John

Since President Trump brought Venezuelan dictator, drug dealer, and thug Nicolas Maduro to the US to face justice for his international drug crimes at the start of the year, we continue to show the rest of the world that we want peace through strength. I am glad President Trump continues to help our allies and stand up to our enemies.

We need to keep a close eye on nations around the world who want to do us harm, including Iran. No one threatens the United States and our allies more than the Iranian regime. The street protests in Iran demonstrate the will of the peace-loving Iranian people against the brutal Iranian terrorist regime and the ayatollah. I stand with the people of Iran and pray for peace.

Back home, political races are picking up in Oklahoma as the date to file to run for office in Oklahoma comes up on April 1-3, 2026, with the primary on June 16. My name isn't on the ballot this year, but I am watching the races at home and around the country as we work to hold on to the Republican majority in Congress and in our state to keep our nation moving in the right direction.

If you are thinking about leading your school board, city, county, or even the state, please don't wait for someone else to do it. You see the problem. Step up, and work to fix it. Yelling on social media does not solve problems. Doing the work solves the problems.

Let’s solve the tough problems together.

In our nation's capital this week, we are continuing to work on funding the remaining nine sections of the government ahead of the funding deadline of January 30, which I have pushed for since day one. The National March for Life is coming up on January 23, and the National Prayer Breakfast will be on February 5.

I continue to firmly stand up for life and for religious liberty in our nation. I’ll never waver in my belief that the life of every child matters. I don't check my faith at the door when I walk into the US Capitol each week. My faith drives every decision I make, and I continue to join my colleagues in the US Senate each week in prayer together on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

In Oklahoma, the state legislature begins its next legislative session on February 2 with lots of important work to do. Do you know who your state legislators are? If not, you should. You can find out HERE. Make sure you stay engaged with your state and local elected officials as well.

In God We Trust,
