I first got involved in politics and fell in love with public service when I interned for Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher (CA-10).

She was one of my strongest mentors, who taught me to do the most good for the most people I can.

Ellen was not just a trailblazer, she was a force for good in the world who passionately served her constituents and became one of America’s top diplomats. As anyone who knew her could tell you, she was a loyal ally to anyone who counted on her — including me.
