Wisconsin lawmakers are advancing permitless carry—legislation that would allow people to carry hidden, loaded guns in public with no background check or training. Moving this bill forward would make Wisconsin less safe.

Last week, something important happened at the Capitol. At public hearings, gun violence prevention advocates showed up in force and outnumbered NRA-backed speakers. That momentum matters—and keeping it going is how we stop dangerous bills like permitless carry.

Join WAVE’s Virtual Action Team this Wednesday, January 14th, at 5:00 PM CT for a briefing on the dangers of permitless carry and what we can do to stop it.

We’re especially glad to welcome Ethan Bartlett, Data Analyst at the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions, who will walk us through the latest research on permitless carry and what we’ve seen in states that have adopted it.
