The PA Farm Show is in full swing, so I wanted to take a moment to tip my hat to the folks who make it happen.
Whether you're showing livestock or working behind the scenes to make sure the exhibitions go on without a glitch, thanks for all you do, and best of luck the rest of this week! 🍀
If you haven’t gone yet, try to get there by Saturday. It’s one of the best ways to see what makes PA so special. And be sure to check out this year’s butter sculpture – here’s a throwback to when we had Butter Gritty.
It's more important than ever that we support the hardworking folks across our state who work day in and day out to put food on tables across our state and our country.
That's why, as a member of the Senate Ag Committee, I’m fighting to make sure our farmers have what they need to be successful.
That means I’m working to:
🛑 Stop Trump’s illegal USDA cuts
🌾 Invest in organic research and science
🥚 Make egg labels honest
🍄 Protect mushroom farmers
🥪 And get kids healthy meals
And I'm proud to say that right before the holidays, Congress passed my bipartisan Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act, and now it's on its way to the president's desk for signature.
In this day and age, Big Ag loves to squeeze out small farmers and rural communities. But I'm going to keep doing everything in my power to support our farmers. If there's one thing you can count on, it's this: I have our farmers' backs. 💯
