Hi,

The Everytown Research team has new data to share for 2026—and it
reinforces what we know to be true: Gun violence is a crisis that impacts
every community.

On average, nearly 130 people are killed with guns every day. Nearly
27,000 people die by gun suicide each year. And more than 4,400 children
and teens are shot and killed every year—that's 12 kids each day.

We can't look away from these figures. In fact, the work we do shows
policymakers, community activists, and leaders what the toll of everyday
gun violence looks like in their neighborhoods—and helps us identify the
life-saving solutions we desperately need.

[ [link removed] ]Now you can support this work and more by making a tax-deductible
donation to the Everytown Support Fund today.

If we're going to put an end to the gun violence that's wreaking havoc in
our country, then we need to look at how everyday gun violence is
impacting the communities we all care about. For example, did you know:

* Mississippi has the highest rate of gun deaths in the country and
ranks #21 in the rate of gun suicides.
* South Dakota saw the rate of gun deaths increase by a whopping
58%—more than any other state—between 2015 and 2024.
* 84% of gun deaths among children and teens in Maryland are homicides,
compared to 65% nationwide.

That's why our research is so important: We dig deep through the data to
present these facts so that our movement has the tools to stand up to the
guns everywhere agenda.

And, it's important that we keep this important work moving
forward. [ [link removed] ]Will you make a gift to the Everytown Support Fund today?

[ [link removed] ]Your gift will support our research, help us do things like develop

Thank you. We can't do this work without your generous support.

Sincerely,
Everytown for Gun Safety
