Help lead a just transition.

Hi John,
Para obtener más información en español, consulte el folleto ([link removed]) y el formulario de inscripción adjuntos.
We are looking for members of the Eugene community who want to learn more about organizing for justice, and promoting the transition to clean energy.
Many Eugenians are increasingly and disproportionately affected by the rising cost of utility bills, indoor and outdoor air pollution from fossil fuels and wildfires, and the broader harms of climate change. Real change requires real leadership, and this is your opportunity ([link removed]) to learn the skills needed to be a part of a movement for a just transition in Eugene.
Breach Collective has come together with Beyond Toxics ([link removed]) and Oregon Just Transition Alliance ([link removed]) to create the Clean Energy Leadership Institute (CELI), a program that will equip frontline community members (learn more about what "frontline" means here ([link removed]) ) with the leadership and advocacy skills to chart a just transition to clean energy in Eugene. The 2026 CELI cohort will learn alongside experienced organizers and community leaders, and gain knowledge and skills that can be used in community organizing and advocacy here in Eugene.
The institute will consist of six in-person workshops held on Wednesday evenings (6-7:30 PM) from February to May. Each participant will receive a stipend for participation. Other support, such as transportation and childcare stipends, may be available upon request.

Topics to be covered:
* Orientation and understanding the current landscape (February 18) - developing knowledge of local and statewide policy priorities in clean energy, climate change, and economic and environmental justice.
* Grassroots and digital organizing strategies (March 4) - harnessing your community's power.
* Communications for a just transition (March 18) - spreading your message, getting the attention of the media, and talking to the press.
* Structured organizing conversations (April 8) - winning people over to your cause.
* De-mystify the process of civic engagement (April 22) - engaging with local elected leaders.
* Real world examples (May 6) - building relationships with the organizers of the Portland Clean Energy Fund.
*workshops will be held 6-7:30 PM. Dates and times are subject to change.
Express your interest in joining the institute by filling out this form ([link removed]) by Friday, January 29. Please share this form with any community member you think would be interested in actively participating in this space. The coordinators may reach out to applicants to schedule 15-minute calls to learn more about them and their interest in participating.
More information will be provided upon registration. Please contact

Best wishes,
