For the first time in modern Texas history, there will be a Democratic
candidate on every single ballot line in this state. Every State House
district. Every State Senate race. Every Congressional seat.

That’s 205 races and 205 opportunities to show Texans that democracy
doesn’t stop at the city limits or county line. That their voices matter
no matter where they live.

In 2025, Powered by People focused on building this foundation: recruiting
candidates, organizing in places that have been overlooked, and building
the kind of grassroots support to help Democrats win this year and in the
years to come. These 205 races are about winning these contests and
bringing more Democratic voters into our elections.

When we reach, register and turnout Texans for State House and
Congressional races – even in places where Democrats haven’t held power in
decades – we are improving the odds for our candidates and we are also
sending votes up to the top of the ticket. Imagine Texas tipping the
balance of power in Congress as all these new and activated voters across
these 205 races send a Democrat to the U.S. Senate!
