Happy Crime Stoppers Awareness Month!

Each January, we recognize Crime Stoppers Awareness Month by celebrating the impact of Crime Stoppers programs across Texas and encouraging Texans to take part in this proven public safety partnership. Over the past year, local Crime Stoppers programs generated more than 66,000 anonymous tips, leading to the arrest of over 2,500 suspects, the payment of more than $766,000 in rewards, and the seizure of approximately $4.2 million in narcotics as a direct result of law enforcement action prompted by these tips.

These outcomes highlight the power of the Crime Stoppers model. By protecting anonymity and offering rewards, Crime Stoppers empowers everyday citizens to speak up safely and helps law enforcement solve crimes, remove dangerous offenders, and strengthen communities across the state.

We encourage you to help spread awareness by sharing this proclamation [ [link removed] ] and inviting others to support and participate in Crime Stoppers. Together, we can continue working toward a safer and stronger Texas for all.
