John,
Here’s a fact: we can win across Texas in 2026. And the path to victory is already in front of us ⬇️
1️⃣ January 31st: We WIN a deep red State Senate seat in North Texas.
Democrat Taylor Rehmet—a veteran and union leader—nearly won outright in November, earning 48% of the vote against two Republicans. His runoff is at the end of this month. This is a seat Republicans never thought they’d have to defend and we can win it if we show up now.
2️⃣ March 3rd: We choose the team that will carry us into November.
This is Texas’s primary election, when voters will decide our nominee for U.S. Senate. We’ll choose who takes on Greg Abbott for Governor. And we’ll pick Democratic nominees for state legislative races across Texas. We’re driving high primary turnout to ensure the strongest Democratic candidates win.
3️⃣ April and May: We turn the table on local elections.
These are low-turnout local elections where Republicans often quietly lock in control. Powered by People is changing that—by making sure voters know what’s on the ballot, what’s at stake, and exactly how to cast their vote.
4️⃣ November 3rd: We send Greg Abbott packing, elect a Democrat to the Senate, win key Congressional races, and flip state legislative seats.
Powered by People is getting to work right now to make these huge wins possible. What we’re seeing on the ground in Texas lets us know we can win these races, but only with supporters like you backing us from now all the way through the election.
Our volunteers are registering voters and staying in touch with them all the way through election day. We don’t show up once in October and ask for your vote. We start a dialogue that empowers Texans to show up time and time again.
Thank you,
Powered by People
John, thanks to this grassroots team, we're running incredible voter registration and organizing programs—reaching Texans where they are and building real power from the ground up.
But scaling up to meet this moment ahead of Election Day in November will take sustained work, people power, and real resources.
