Last month, my opponent voted YES to hand over $900 billion to Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth in defense spending, funding policies designed to tear families apart and unleash the National Guard to intimidate, terrorize our communities, and fund needless wars.

Then, just days ago, Trump and Hegseth escalated their reckless, lawless agenda even further by illegally invading Venezuela.

They believe power puts them above the law and that democratic norms are obstacles to be bulldozed rather than principles to be upheld.

And they’re telling us a bold-face lie when they say they don’t have enough money or resources for healthcare, food assistance, affordable housing for the American people, while they pour billions into ballrooms and bombs every year.

Too many Democrats like Hickenlooper keep rubber stamping these massive defense budgets year after year instead of investing into the communities they were elected to serve.

That’s why this election isn’t about party labels, it’s about whether Colorado wants a leader who will lower costs for hard-working Americans, invest our budget into our communities, and hold wannabe tyrants accountable.
