Yesterday, House Democrats forced a vote to extend the Affordable Care Act tax credits that help people pay for health insurance — and we won even though we’re in the minority. 

We’re in this situation because Republicans chose to let these tax credits expire after working overtime to give billionaires a tax giveaway instead of affordable health care for working families.

Now, we’re onto the Senate, where I hope your stories, advocacy, and support can help stop health care premiums from skyrocketing and prevent families from making impossible choices about whether to forgo coverage altogether.

This is why elections matter. Extreme Republicans stood with the wealthiest in our country, not the families they were elected to help.

And why I’m fighting to end this health care crisis, lower costs, and build a Democratic majority in the House.
