Donald Trump is a vengeful bully, and he’s taking it out on Colorado. He’s using the full force of the federal government to attack our state because we refuse to bend to the will of his corrupt administration.

Last month, he announced his plans to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder — threatening 830 Colorado jobs and putting the life-saving scientific breakthroughs these folks make possible at risk.

Then, he vetoed a bipartisan bill that would bring clean water to 50,000 rural Coloradans and deliver on a promise our government made sixty years ago — putting his personal and political grievances ahead of Americans.

Now, he’s threatening to cut child care services and resources for the most vulnerable families, at a time when costs are rising for Coloradans and folks across the country.

Trump’s attacks on our state are indefensible and cruel — and we won’t stand by and watch it happen.

Colorado won’t be intimidated by the bully in the White House. We’re standing up for our state, our communities, and our families, and we will continue to use every tool at our disposal to fight back against Trump’s attacks.

Right now, Senator Hickenlooper is holding up a Senate funding package until NCAR’s funding is protected. He joined a rally in Boulder to save NCAR, is fighting to get Congress to overturn Trump’s veto of our bipartisan bill, and will do everything in his power to protect families’ child care services.
