I'm not going to dress this up like a prize pig at the county fair.
We're bumping up against a hard midnight deadline, and right now the numbers are wobblier than a three-legged stool on a gravel driveway.
I'm not panicking, but I'm paying attention, and I don't like waiting until the cow's already out of the barn, especially with that Yankee Up North Chuck Schumer waiting around the corner.
This is one of those moments where a little help, right now, goes a long way. A few dollars from folks who still believe in common sense can turn a sputtering engine into something that actually runs.
The clock's ticking, and once it hits zero, there's no rewinding it.
