What ICE is doing in communities across the country is violence.
ICE just crossed another horrific red line, John.
Today, ICE shot and killed a woman in her car as she was attempting to drive away.
The violence and aggression must stop. And we must get ICE out of our cities.
This is not the first time Trump’s ICE has shot at civilians. And the Trump administration is already pushing a narrative that doesn’t match eyewitness accounts or what video footage has captured.
What ICE is doing in communities across the country is violence.
Our communities deserve real protection, dignity, and accountability — not federal agents escalating chaos and using excessive and lethal force just because they think they can get away with it.
When law enforcement operates without transparency or restraint, people get hurt, families get traumatized, and trust in government gets shattered.
ICE should not be operating like an occupying force in our communities. We need transparency and accountability, and an end to the fear and terror ICE brings into immigrant neighborhoods across the country. While we work to find out more about what happened today, I’m going to keep demanding answers and fighting for policies that put human rights and the safety of our communities first.
In solidarity,
