Hey John, my name is Angela Gonzales-Torres and I’m running for Congress in CA’s 34th Congressional district, the district I was born and raised in.
As the daughter of a deportee raised by a single mom, it’s no exaggeration to say I feel the urgency of this moment, as do many other mixed status families.
From my time as President of the Highland Park Neighborhood Council, to my work in the LA Mayor’s Office, and as a regional representative on Metro’s Public Safety Committee, I’ve shown up to represent my community.
My promise to you: I’ll keep showing up. This is my community, and I’ll never forget where I come from.
