As more AI data centers move into our region, they are driving up utility costs for everyone else. These centers use a massive amount of power, and in some cases, a single center can use as much power as the entire city of Pittsburgh.

I’m working on legislation to make sure these companies pay their fair share. It is simply not right to ask everyday working Pennsylvanians to foot the bill for Big Tech’s expansion.

This legislation will require Big Tech to fund consumer assistance programs and pay for upgrades to the electric grid or for new infrastructure they require, rather than passing those costs on to you.
