Friend – something’s been on my mind, and I need to know where you stand on it.

Donald Trump and his allies claim they’re championing “meritocracy.” But that’s absurd.

You can’t lecture me about “merit” and then make Pete Hegseth your Secretary of Defense.

You can’t lecture me about “merit” and then make Robert F. Kennedy Jr. your Secretary of Health and Human Services.

You can’t preach about promoting a “meritocracy” while filling your Cabinet with the most unfit, unqualified people ever selected.

Let’s be clear: I’m doing everything I can to hold the line against this dangerous administration, and I need to know if you’re as concerned as I am about the threats Trump’s Cabinet poses to our country. Please, let me know now:

Friend, I want America to win – because I love this country.

I love it in the same way we love our families. Many families have a complicated story. I carry in my veins the brutal side of that. My daddy had to give up his bus seat while wearing his soldier’s uniform – but because we kept fighting for America, his son now sits in a Senate seat.

No matter what Trump and his allies throw at us, I’ll never give up on the fight to make this country a better place. I’m grateful to know you’re with me in this fight.
