I’m proud to say two of my bills got through this ultra-divided House: Developing and Empowering our Aspiring Leaders (DEAL) Act and the Mental Health in Aviation Act.

But I can’t take all the credit, or even most. It took a village to get the job done.

You’ve made it possible for me to reach Capitol Hill and stick around a while. You’ve made it possible for me to grow in this job, to become a better legislator and achieve more for Illinois. For that and so much more, I can’t thank you enough.

I’m proud of what we managed to accomplish last year. But 2026 is going to be a whole different beast.
