Friend, members of Congress are considering a dangerous proposal to give ICE billions more dollars to detain our immigrant neighbors. This money would be on top of the $45 billion that Trump’s 2025 Reconciliation Bill has already handed ICE to dramatically expand detention over the next four years.

Congress is negotiating a funding bill right now, and your voice can help stop even more money from fueling this crisis. Send a message to your members of Congress now >>> ([link removed])

Why this matters:

More detention means more harm. In 2025 alone, 31 people died in ICE detention — a number that will inevitably rise as detention facilities become more overcrowded.

Conditions will become even more inhumane. People in detention are already denied basic health care and dignity, including cancer and diabetes medications, and sometimes forced to go for days without a shower.

Private prison profits will keep skyrocketing. Companies like GEO and CoreCivic are seeing record profits, while people in detention continue to suffer.

Massive new facilities are on the horizon. The Trump administration is eyeing new warehouse gulags that could jail more than 80,000 people at a time. We know these facilities will be humanitarian catastrophes.

Funding for the government runs out at the end of January. Congress is negotiating ICE’s and CBP’s budget right now and can prevent even more money from going to dangerous immigration jails. Urge your representatives to reject more money for ICE’s already super-charged detention budget >>> ([link removed])

The more money that Congress funnels into ICE’s budget, the more lives are at risk. Thank you for speaking out, friend. Every message counts.
