Today marks the fifth anniversary of the deadly insurrection at the U.S.
Capitol — and the MAGA cult is now trying to rewrite history with Donald
Trump back in the White House.
Trump has since pardoned all of the Jan. 6th insurrectionists who
terrorized the Capitol and fired more than a dozen Department of Justice
officials who prosecuted them. He also appointed multiple election deniers
to positions of power in his administration.
Who else backed pro-insurrection Republicans even after they voted to
overturn the 2020 election? AIPAC.
AIPAC endorsed 109 of the 147 Republicans who voted to overturn the 2020
election results in the 2022 midterms.
It wasn’t enough for them to buy our politicians and elections — they
wanted to prove just how devoted they are to destroying what’s left of our
democracy.
No Democrat should accept money from this GOP megadonor-funded group that
supports insurrection and genocide.
That’s why Justice Democrats has endorsed a slate of progressive,
working-class candidates for Congress in 2026 who are running to unseat
AIPAC-backed Democratic incumbents.
Our first primary elections are less than two months away, so we need as
many grassroots resources as possible to get out the vote for our
anti-AIPAC candidates who will boldly stand up to Trump and MAGA
Republicans’ authoritarianism.
