John,
My name is Manny Orozco, and I’m excited to be joining this fight as Richard Lamondin’s campaign manager.
I got my start in politics right here in Miami, organizing voters and helping elect Democrats up and down the ballot. Since then, I’ve continued that work, including helping elect Mayor Daniella Levine Cava in 2020 and serving in her historic administration.
I know this community. I know the voters here. And over the past months, I’ve gotten to know Richard. He’s someone I’ve come to deeply admire, and I’m honored that he’s trusted me to help lead this campaign as we enter its next phase.
So what happens next?
My job is to build the kind of operation it takes to win — not just a primary, but a general election. That means hiring the right team, organizing volunteers in every corner of the district, expanding our digital and field programs, and making sure our message reaches voters early and often. We’re building a serious, disciplined campaign designed to flip FL-27.
And we’re not here to play it safe.
For five years, Congresswoman Maria Salazar has failed this community. Richard believes we can do better, and I believe we can too.
But winning takes resources. Over the next three months alone, we need to raise more than $400,000 to put this campaign in a winning position. We’re counting on supporters like you stepping up to help us build this campaign from the ground up.
If you’re able, please chip in today and help us hit our goal!
