Happy New Year, John!

I hope you had plenty of time to recharge and spend time with loved ones.

I’m writing with a heart full of gratitude. Thanks to you, we closed out 2025 strong. In those final weeks of the year, supporters from across the Central Valley and across the country chipped in, shared our message, and showed up to help build this people-powered campaign.

Because of you, we head into 2026 with strong momentum and a clear path to flipping CA-22.

But there’s no time to waste.

In just a few weeks, lawmakers in Congress face a January 30 deadline to fund the federal government and avoid another shutdown. And millions of Americans are already feeling the impact of rising health insurance premiums -- because Republicans let enhanced ACA subsidies expire.

Democrats are fighting to extend those subsidies for three more years. But we already know how this story goes: the GOP will push a watered-down alternative while working families struggle.

We deserve better than shutdown brinkmanship and political games. We deserve leadership that puts people first.

That’s why I’m in this fight. And I’m incredibly grateful to have you with me.
