Happy New Year! I hope you’ve had a restful holiday season.

We’ve made it to 2026, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s in store for Iowa this year. 2025 showed what’s possible for Iowa Democrats with strong candidates, growing organization, and hard work. In 2026, we take it statewide.

Six special election overperformances by Democrats, polling showing our Democratic candidates leading or tied, four wide-open races and two toss-ups…the momentum is on our side.

Our work is far from over. We worked hard in the off-year to prepare us for this moment. Now, we’ve got to win - to change the direction of our state and send independent voices instead of rubber stamps to Washington.

This is the year where everything we’ve done so far, and will continue to do up until November, gets put to the test. To see if we can turn the energy we’ve been building into electoral results.

I believe wholeheartedly that we can, but I’ll be honest with you: We’re going to need a lot of resources. Iowa is a top battleground state this cycle, and Republicans have already started pouring money into our big races to attack our hardworking Democrats because they know our candidates are more politically viable.

There would be no better way to kick off 2026 than to have your support in week one. Will you chip in $26 to IDP to help Iowa Democrats win and put our state back on track?
